Matthew 6:24 ESV
"No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
Devoted = hold firmly
Despise = to think against
Nothing vague here. Of course the:thing was hard to miss!
Hate = detest
Love =to be contented/well pleased
These are not "feelings" they are choices. Deliberate choices that each of us must make often and faithfully.
